We’ve been showing movies in our air-conditioned Community Room on Tuesday nights this summer. For free!!!
All the movies have a Splash, Make Waves, or Water theme in keeping with our kids, teen, and adult Summer Reading Programs, so past Tuesdays included Yellow Submarine, Lilo & Stitch, and Shark-Boy & Lava Girl in 3D. We even had 3D glasses for everyone who came! Cool drinks are also provided so we can all beat the heat.
Our upcoming movies are
- Finding Nemo (yes, you may have seen it, but it is always good!) on July 27
- Happy Feet (gotta love those dancing penguins, & great animation) on August 3
- You get to vote on which movie to watch on August 10! Vote for either
- Flipper starring Paul Hogan and Elijah Wood (1996) or
- Free Willy – the original movie about an orca and his boy savior (1993)
Vote on movie night, or else pick up a ballot at the front Circulation Desk anytime the library is open. One vote per person, please.
